There are some exciting changes on the telecoms horizon at the moment. It’s a fast moving industry and it’s important that you know what’s coming up and how it could affect your business.
Being close to our suppliers and the industry regulators means we have access to a wide range of information and expertise on the latest industry developments. We’re also testing and evaluating the latest technology to assess the business benefits and make sure it’s ready to roll out to our clients.
Linking mobiles with desk phones
Companies are increasingly using one mobile device for both voice and data. But it doesn’t stop there. As the work force becomes increasingly flexible in where and how they work the mobile phone is becoming a more important means of remaining in contact. However this brings with it the problem of which number is best to contact someone on. Fixed line or mobile? Which mail box is it best to leave the message on? By trying to remain contactable by using two phones we have almost made it more difficult.
How do I mobilise my business?
Flexibility is becoming the key to winning and retaining your customers and your staff. Giving your workers the ability to perform their jobs where and when they need to, quickly and efficiently, leads to customer and staff satisfaction.

NGN number changes
From February 2008 there will be changes to the way Ofcom regulates Non-Geographic Numbers. This will particularly affect 0870 and 0871 users, although we expect this to have a real impact on UK businesses.
