Alternative Networks is an investor in people, and our commitment to helping our employee grow and improve their skills is fundamental to this approach.

This is why we developed the Alternative Academy in 2002. Staffed by specialist trainers, the Academy delivers consistent training across the business, ensuring that each employee receives the support and development they need – whatever their personal and career goals.

Our courses cover specific areas such as IT, sales, and operational support, as well as generic skills training – such as time management and teambuilding.

Induction programme

Each new employee will be welcomed with a full training programme designed to introduce them to the history and culture of Alternative Networks. After this, a three month plan is developed to ensure that individuals have continuous support during those crucial first months.

Management training

Our own in-house management training programme was developed to hone existing management skills as well introducing employees to new ways of working. This programme is open to all existing managers, as well as those who have shown an interest in career development.
