After a very successful 14 months as a phone-based Internal Sales executive, a vacancy arose for a Team Leader. After a successful interview Lianne found herself heading up a team of six and facing a brand new set of challenges.

Having just got to grips with this change, an opportunity arose to head up a new Internal Sales Team in London. Lianne jumped at the chance and spent the next 2 weeks frantically packing her belongings to move down south.
Lianne thoroughly enjoys her role as Internal Sales Manager but doesn’t deny it’s been challenging too. “I really enjoy the diversity of this role and it’s great to work closely with other head office teams. I’m now involved in recruitment, setting performance goals, helping and motivating my team to hit target and training and development, which I enjoy as I can share some of my own (good and not so good!) Internal Sales experiences. It can be difficult to juggle so many things but I enjoy the challenge!”
So what keeps Lianne at Alternative Networks?
“The people are great and it’s great to know there’s real career potential here. I also live just down the road which helps too!”
What’s next for Lianne?
Lianne is looking forward to increasing the size of her team and further improving her training skills to really get the team working to it’s full potential. As a Manager, Lianne is also involved in the Management Training and Development programme run by in-house trainers, the Alternative Academy.
