Connection speed
It’s important to choose the right connection speed for volume of data you are using. If you have time critical data or a large number of concurrent users, you’ll need one of our higher bandwidth connections to ensure fast data transfer.
Upload / download ratio
Choose from a range of symmetric and asymmetric options depending on the amount of data that you send and receive. The high upload speeds of a symmetric connection can benefit your business if you send large volumes of email and files or run mission critical applications between sites. Alternatively, an asymmetric connection may be more suitable if you have higher download requirements such as web browsing.
Contention
You can select the contention ratio for your services. Contention ratios are defined by the amount of traffic that is bundled together, for example 50:1 means that there might be 50 other users sharing the same connection and trying to get their traffic from the Exchange onto the Internet at any one time. A non-contended service is ideal if you need dedicated capacity, while a contended service can be a cost effective solution for non-mission critical applications.
Service levels
All our data connectivity solutions are highly reliable to ensure minimal service disruption. However, for added reliability, a service level agreement will ensure that your connection is restored within a specified timeframe in the event of any downtime.
Disaster recovery
In an emergency, a comprehensive back-up plan for your communications infrastructure is critical. Our disaster recovery solutions allow you to remain contactable by moving services to an alternative location if the connection is interrupted. We can also provide added resiliency by using a different connection for your back-up solution.
