In a very short space of time, mobile broadband has established itself as indispensible to the modern business. The ease and simplicity of the plug-and-go solution means that you can be up and working within seconds.
How to make the most of mobile broadband
We can supply mobile broadband in two different ways:
- USB modem - Plugs in to the USB port on your laptop and gives data transfer speeds of up to 7.2Mbps
- 3Mobile broadband (3G datacard) - Connects via the PCMCIA slot (an inch long port usually found on the side of your laptop)
Both can be used to effortlessly link up to a company VPN or business network. This means having access to all files, folders and emails that you would be used to in the office. Not only that but these cards can be shared between users, meaning itβs hugely cost effective.
You can also use a specialist router (Insert link to PDF here) to give up to 5 users access to a wireless network β perfect for small teams on the move.
Netbooks
The new generation of mobile computing is here, with the ultra compact netbooks.
These offer fast access to the Internet with its in-built mobile broadband modem β all in a casing that fits snugly on a train or plane drop-down table.
